Greetings, It is that time of the year. Once, I used to use the end and the start of the year as an opportunity to reset. Now, it generally feels like a continuation, building on what has already been done. The lead up to Christmas was spent briefing out articles for a client to ensure that when January 3rd hit, there was already writing to be edited and submitted. Plus, taking a break felt strange. A friend suggested taking some time out for myself but I have worked long and hard to get to the point where I do that on a regular basis, sometimes even daily. It was, however, nice not to have an alarm set for the days between Christmas Day and New Year’s eve. While I am back at work, it will probably feel more like work when the children go back to school and I have to start the day earlier.
