Here are a couple of things that I came across that I would like to share.

I came across this quote on the Advice To Writers site and I can’t stop thinking about it.

On the 99% Invisible podcast is an episode about the podcast Stuff The British Stole in which they play the first episode of the series and then interview the host Marc Fennell. I then went a listened to the whole Stuff The British Stole podcast series. It is well-crafted and makes for compelling listening.

English songwriter, musician and producer wrote for a variety of artists, including Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, George Benson, Donna Summer, The Brothers Johnson, Stephanie Mills, Herbie Hancock, Mica Paris, Tamia and the band Heatwave, which he was a part of. Some of the songs he wrote for Michael Jackson include Thriller, Rock With You, Off The Wall and Baby Be Mine.
In 2016, the year Temperton passed away, DJ Spinna did a Tribute to Rod Temperton mix which I come back to regularly.
This is still one of my favourite Michael Jackson songs. I remember the first time I saw the video as an 8 year old.

All my CDs are sitting in boxes. My records are all on a shelf. My digital music sits on two hard drives. And I mainly listen to streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music. Perfectionism “makes for a thin life, lived for what it isn’t rather than what it is”
Perfectionism can be debilitating. In the quest to do things perfectly, we end up not getting things done, or when we do, it comes at great expense to our physical and mental well-being.

It stems from trying to find my place in a world that seems increasingly about being ‘a brand’. A friend of mine used to say, ‘brands have values and brands have a promise, and so, if you are a brand, what are your values and what is your promise.’
Personal Branding Ruins People’s Lives is an interesting take on it. I, by and large, agree with the sentiments expressed. What do you think?

I must say I had to keep pausing and laughing while reading this,the sincerity and honesty in is so painful ,you just gotta laugh because hai maan "kundzima,ukuba ngumuntu kunzima"
My opinion on perfectionism...I personally struggle with perfectionism as a creative and I'd 100% say is the main reason I never post my content and use "it's not the right kind" or "someday soon I will" or "eish marr dae maan is not just giving".I sit and sit,obsess,obsess,live the concept in my head until it births into procrastination and die's before it fully forms.
On personal branding,I agree with you it sucks,it destroys and it gets worse every second.
This year I watched most of the content creators I admire and follow on linkedin crash real bad,most admitted to failing to keep up with the image " personal brand" ,most decided to take a hiatus from social media.It made me realise how costing it is to live that Clark kent/superman life because at the end of the day it is kind of a double life; the constant posting,the constant need to present or give off a certain vibe/energy,you constantly have to keep up with maintaining an image/lifestyle and sometimes end up hiding your true self and eventually just lose yourself in it all.
Gosh thank you for sharing this and for sharing such raw thought provoking content.It hit home in all areas,I just had to comment on the parts that stood out for me
